AbstractTo explore the effects of diffrent ratios of processed products of green plant wasteon the properties of the physicalandchemical propertiesof the mixedsoiland theroot growthofyoungtrees,using gardensoil(A),compost of mushroom by-products (B),compost of crushed branches and leaves (C),and wood chips (D)asraw materials, orthogonalexperiments weredesigned forcamphor treecultivation experiments todetermine soil physicalandchemical indicatorssuchasbulkdensity,totalporosity,andwaterholdingcapacity.Aswellasrotgrowth indicatorssucharot surface area,root diameterand rot volume.The range of indicators and the correlations among the indicators were analyzed.TheresultsshowedthatAhadagreater influenceonthetotalporosityofthesoil.Bhadasignificantimpact on total nitrogen,total phosphorus,hydrolytic nitrogenandavailable phosphorus.C hadasignificant influenceon organic mater;Dhad asignificant influence onbulk density,maximum waterholding capacity,capilary water holding capacity and p H value.The surface area,length,diameter and number of root tips of the root system were mainly affcted byD,while the volume and biomassof theroo system were mainly affctedbyB.Comprehensive evaluation indicated thatthe primaryand secondary order of various factors promoting root development was A,B,D,and C,and the appropriate formula was A: B: C: D in aratio of 1 : 4 : 2 : 1 .Correlation analysis indicated that the root surface area, volume and bulk density were negatively correlated,and positivelycorrelated withthe maximum water holding capacity, capillarywater holdingcapacity,organicmater,totalnitrogen,total phosphorus,hydrolyticnitrogenandavailable phosphorus.Overall,it isindicated that compost frommushroom by-products,compost fromcrushedbranches and leaves,andwoodchipsaffect therootgrowthof thesoilbyaltering itsnutrients,bulk density,and water-holding capacity.Theoreticaly,the appropriate formula is garden soil: compost from mushroom by-products:compost from crushed branches and leaves: wood chips, with a volume ratio of 1:4: 2: 1.
