GenAI辅助英语学习中大学生基本心理需求满足质性研究

Abstract：Based on self-determination theory this study explores non-English majors’perception of the basic psychdogical need satisfaction within GenAl-assisted English learning environments through qualitative analysis. It finds that GenAl exerts complex efects on the need satisfaction. Factors like autonomous decision-making in learning， enhanced language skils，and psychologically safe learning environments may facilitate the satisfaction of the psychological needs. Conversely， factors like an overreliance on GenAl，insufficient human-GenAl negotiation capabilities，oversimplified cognitive processes may have negative efects or context-dependent dual efects on the need satisfaction， leading to pseudo-autonomous learning or a false sense of competence. Moreover， the three psychological needs are not satisfied independently；rather， they form a complex interactive system， exhibiting characteristics of mutual enhancement，frustration，or compensation in diferent situations.
