Abstract：Enhancing the capacity for international communication is pivotal to elevate international discourse power， and intensifyingthe cultivation ofspecialized international communication professionals constitutes a critical component of this endeavor. “ One who employs the appropriate methodology achieves twice the result with half the effort”，and the successful international communication case of Red Star over China ofers invaluable insights. The abilities showcased by

Edgar Snow，the author of this seminal red classic，embody the requisites for specialized international communication professionals. From a linguistic standpoint， proficiency in foreign languages must be fortified to address the trilemma of “being linguistically capable，”“ possessing pertinent content，” and“articulating it eloquently.” Regarding competency development，refining writing skillsis imperative to ensure the“effective and persuasive expression of ideas.” In terms of comprehensive qualities，a holistic approach to education that fosters correct worldviews，life outlooks，and values， alongside promoting the integration of moral，intelectual，physical，aesthetic，and labor education，is necessary to address the challenge of“courageously voicing opinions.” By resolving these“five dimensions of communication competence，” the persistent dilemma of “possessing valid arguments yetstruggling to articulate or disseminate them efectively” canbe dismantled，augmenting international discourse powerand facilitating China’smodernization.
