Abstract：Based on169documents from Knowledge Network fortheperiodof2009-2023and 572 documents fromWebofSciencefor theperiodof 2016-2023，the softwareCitespaceV.5.0.R4was used to sort out the hotspotsofdomestic and foreign gig research.The findings showthat：First，both domesticand foreignstudies focus onneweconomic models such as sharing economy，platform economy，and digital platforms;Second，foreigncountriespaymoreattention totherelationshipbetweengigworkersanddigital platformwork andalgorithms than domestic studies;Third，In 2018，domestic hotspots gradually shift from gig markets and the sharingeconomy toonlineplatforms andlegal regulation;Inl2019，the foreignhotspots gradually focus on gigworkers.Finally，the future direction of gig research is discussed，withaview to providing useful references for advancing gig research.
