Abstract：Inhisdebatewithscholarsofthebourgeoisieandpettybourgeoisie，Engelscriticized Milberg s"eternal fairness”conceptand Saxe's"moral preaching”concept fromthe perspectiveofcapital logiccriticism.Hepointedoutthat onlybyoverthrowing the bourgeoisie，eliminating privateownership，establishing socialist publicownership，andeliminating urban-rural opposition through social revolution can the housingproblembefundamentallysolved.Engels‘housing ideas have important practicalimplicationsforsolving thehousingproblems inChinainthenewera，namely，handlingtherelationship betweenthegovernment and the market well; Promote industrial structural adjustment; Promote sustained reform of housing policies; Narrowing the urban-rural gap.
