Abstract：Youth are ithe most active and dynamic force in society，and promoting ecological civilization construction cannot proceed without their involvement.This paper，based on clarifying the concepts of ecologicalcivilization and its construction，defines youthparticipation in thisarea and exploresits value implications from personal，ecological，and social perspectives.Although significant progress has been made in youth participation in China's ecological civilization construction，challenges remain，including insufficient environmental knowledge，inadequate actioncapacity，limited public engagement，andalack of politicalawareness.Thus，targeted optimization paths must beexplored，suchas enhancing ecological civilizationeducation，cultivatingawareness of participatory roles，expanding and innovating participation methods，and improving institutional mechanisms to promotehigh-qualityyouth participation inecological civilization construction.
