Abstract： This article focuses on theresearch and design of digital walkie talkies based on the DMR protocol. The DMR protocol stack software and application layer software are implemented on hardware platforms such as STM32 microcontroller，HR_C5000 baseband chip，and AMBE3000 encoder，and the RF circuit is constructed using a digital phase-locked loop chip.In addition，a background positioning system based on GPS/Beidou navigation has beendesigned，whichconnectsthedigitalwalkie talkieandPCthrough USBtoserial port，realizing the transmission of positioningdata between walkie talkies.Thetestresults have verified the feasibilityand effectivenessof the design， providing reference for the further development of digital walkie talkies.
