Research and Analysis on the Control of Door-closing Clamp Force for Metro Train Doors

Abstract:An investigation has been carried out on the problemof door-closing clamp force for train doors exceeding the standard value during the operation of the trains on Ningbo Metro Line 5.In fact,there’re multiplefactors afecting the door-closing clamp force,including the mechanical dimensions of the door,the air pressureof the air conditioner in the passenger room,the mechanical transmission parts of the door,the motor control of the door,etc.In thearticle,after analyzing the transmission structureand the control principle for opening and closing of the doors of electric passenger car,a mechanical model is built up for the anti-pinch force of door during the movement of the doors of electric passenger car,and the factors that may ffect the door-closing anti-pinch force such as the door-closing resistance,the armaturecurrent of the door drive motor and the door movement speed are analyzed.Based on the analysis of the transmission control strategyand method for the door motor,the on-site experimental research on the corrsponding parameters using the one-by-one control variable method.Through sufficient tests on the test bench and in the electric passenger caron site,it’s clear that the main factor afecting the door-closing clamp force is the excessive movement speed of the door body.Subsequently,the corresponding control logic and related parameters of the door control software willbe optimized to maintain the door-closing clamp force withina reasonable design range.At present,the software optimization and updating for the train doors of Ningbo Metro Line 5 has been completed and the folow-up so far hasn’t shown any phenomenon of door-closing clamp force exceeding standard.
