Abstract
Food safety has increasing been an crucial issues for every nation. Relevant nation haspayattention to increasing food safetyand quaity standards to protect the humanlifeand healthand consumers’interest. Many international regulations provide food safety standards to ensure the consistency of production and distribution offood products.The Codex Alimentariusas the“Food Code”,ISO 2200,Global Food Safety Initiative(GFSl) playas legal ground foracountryto join global supplychainandhow toensure the food production of a nation meet the international standards remain as chalenging issues.Vietnam isa food exporting country,especialy withtheagriculturaland seafood products,theexport companies need toobtain foodsafetycerticateissuedbyuthoritytoexporttospecficmarketsuchasEuropean,US,apan,Cina (etc). This paper aimsat examining the current regulationson food safetyof Vietnam,especialy foragricultural and seafood products to EUand Asian market to identifythechallnges,gapsand giving some recommendation forpromoting food qualityin Vietnamtomeet international standards.
