Incorporating the Livelihood Concept into the Integration of Ideological-Political Curriculum Across Elementary, Secondary, and Higher Education

Abstract: The new era ecological livelihood concept serves as the guiding ideology for ecological livelihood construction in contemporary China. Incorporating this concept into the integration of ideological-political curriculum acrosselementary, secondary,and highereducation is essential for implementing President Xi Jinping’s directives and modernizing ideological education. Current challenges include fragmented collaboration among teachers across diferent educational stages,an insufficiently holistic curriculum design,inconsistent teaching objectives,and pedagogical approaches that mismatch students’developmental stages.To address these issues,it is essential to structure teaching content and methods to align with students’cognitive development. Solutions include establishing collaborative mechanisms,implementing a spiral instructional design,adopting tiered instructional objectives, and introducing a mixed-team practice model. These approaches can achieve mutual empowerment between the ecological livelihood concept and the integration of ideological-political curriculum across elementary,secondary,and higher education.
