Abstract Objective To construct a competency model for full-time disease control supervisors in medical institutions in Shanghai，andto promote theeffectiveimplementationof thediseasecontrol supervisor system in medical institutions.MethodsBasedon McClellands"Iceberg Model" theory，a competencycharacteristic indicatorpool fordiseasecontrolsupervisors in medical institutions was designed through literature researchand expert interview，andaquestionnaire survey wasconducted to establish the competency model.ResultsAcompetency model comprising four core dimensions，including professionalknowledge，professonal skills，omprehensiveabilities，and personal traitsandatitudes，along with 30 sub一dimensions was ultimatelydetermined.ConclusionThe constructed competency model for full-timediseasecontrol supervisors in medical institutions in Shanghaican providereferences fortheselection，assessment，and training of relevant personnel.
