Abstract Objective To explore the service experience of patients in unaccompanied care wards and provide references for the implementation of unaccompanied care service.MethodsA phenomenological approach was employed to conduct semi-structured interviews with15 inpatients in unaccompanied care wards of a tertiary-grade A hospitalfrom October to December 2O24.Data were analyzed using Colaizisseven一step analytical framework.ResultsThe service experience of patients receiving unaccompanied care can be summarized into 3 main themes with 8 sub一themes：significant advantages of unaccompanied care services （relieving thecare burden onfamily members，providing empathy and companionship，and demonstrating strong service awareness），the need to strengthen the constructionofthemedical caregiver team （inadequate stafing of medicalcaregivers，and uneven professional qualities among medicalcaregivers），and the necesity to optimize the unacompanied care service models （low awarenessrate of unaccompanied care services，the need to mprove the aceptance of unaccompanied care services，and the simplicity of the unaccompanied care service model）.ConclusionUnaccompanied care services ofer significant advantages in reducing family caregiving burdens andalleviating emotional stressamong patients.Inthefuture，eforts shouldfocus on promoting the widespread adoption of unaccompanied care service models，strengthening the developmentof the healthcare aide workforce，and implementing a demand-oriented service model.
