Abstract ObjectiveTo explore the authentic experiences of medical staff following voluntary blood donation， providing references for promoting voluntary blood donation among healthcare professionals.MethodsA phenomenologicalapproach withinqualitative research was employed to conduct semi-structured interviews with9 medical staff members who had participated in voluntary blood donation from two tertiary hospitals in Yantai.Data were analyzed using Colaizi's seven-step analytical framework.ResultsFour primary themes with 4 subthemes were identified， encompasing perceptionpathways （clinical exposure，institutional organization，social publicity，and online promotion）， psychological experiences （anticipation，fear，anxiety，andsenseof accomplishment），incentivepreferences （paid leave， honoraryrecognition，and preferential blood usage privileges），and donation barriers （inadequate organizational suport， time constraints，and insufficient educationaloutreach）．ConclusionBlood donation authorities should prioritize online publicity for voluntary blood donationand enhance servicequality.Healthcare institutions shouldaddressthe incentive preferencesof medical staff，facilitate convenient donation processs，and improve their motivation toparticipate in voluntary blood donation.
