Research Status and Hotspots of Matcha

Abstract:A visualization analysis was conductedon 404 articles related to matcha,including 250 from CNKIand 154 from WOS,using CiteSpace software.The current state ofresearch on matcha was summarized,and the future research hotspotsand industrial development trends were predicted.Theresults showthattheannual numberofarticlesonmatcha both domesticallyand internationally,increased inafluctuating manner from20o0 to2O25.Domestic research started earlierthan international researchandcould be divided into four stages:cultural research,technological research,industrial research and functional research.The cooperation network among scholars and research institutions at home and abroad was relatively loose.However,a groupofresearch institutions primarilycomprising tea research institutes in universities and tea enterprises were formed in China.While there were few influential tea enterprises participating in research abroad.The research hotspots in China were mainly focused on matcha,tencha,procesing technology and quality,while internationalresearch emphasizedcomponentanalysis andhealthbenefits.However,both domesticand international research show atrend towards component analysis.Inconclusion,future research should focus onexploring functional components and health value,as wellas promoting theinovative development of the matcha industry through the deep integration of industry, academia and research.
