Psychoacoustic modelling for abnormal noise of laptop fans

Abstract：As acomponent widelyused in various industries，the noise problem offans has always atractedpeople'satention.In equipment withrelativelylow noiseenergy levels，abnormalnoise，suchaswhistling，orratlesing，fromfansare keyfactors that leadtousercomplaints.Takinglaptopfans withvariousabnormalnoisesasanexample，thecorelationbetweentheseverityoffan abnormalnoiseandthemainpsychoacousticparametersofsoundqualitywassudied，andalinearregresionmodelbetwenthesubjective scoreofabnormal noiseandtheobjectiveparameters was established.Theresultsshowthatloudness，sharpness，promi nenceratio，ndtefrequencycoresponding tothemaximumvalueofpitchafectthesubjectivefelingofabnoaloise.Themultivariatelinearmodelincludingloudnessandsharpnesscanbeterevaluatethesubjectivescoreofteseverityofabnormalsound.
