Abstract:Basedontheflowsimulationsthroughdelayeddetached-eddysimulation model,themethodsofsparsitypromotingdy namic modedecompositionand spectralproperorthogonaldecompositionareappliedforanalysing themode decompositiononthe wakeflow.Thencombinedbytheacousticanalogyapproach,thisstudyinvestigatesthebehaviourofflowandaerodynamic noise generatedaround tandemseal-vibrisashapedcylinderincomparison withthecasesoftandemcylinderlikeandelipticalarswith the same characteristic length coresponding to the cylinder diameterof 3O mm for arange of Reynolds numbers(Re=6 × 1 )4~ (204号 1.2 ×10s ).Resultsshowthattheliftfluctuationsofthedownstreambarsare strongerthan thoseof theupstreambarsandthe downstreambarsdominatetheaerodynamicnoiseradiation.Thealterativearangementofthesaddleandnodalplanesofsealvibrisashapedcylider introduces threedimensionalflowseparations andsuppresses theshearlayer interactions,improvinggreatlythe flow stability.Thestructuredestroys theregularvortexsheddingofKarmanvortexstretocurring intandemcylinder wake.The presenceofreverseVortexsheddinggeneratedbytwoadjacentsaddlesurfaces intheflowoftandemseal-vibrisa-shapedcylinder makesthelateralforcebalancedpartiallyandreducessignificantlyteliftfluctuationsaswellasthevortex-iducedvibrationThe aerodynamicnoisegeneratedbythenon-constantfluctuatingforceexertedonthewallsurfacesofbarsaresuppressdefectively. Thesoundpressurelevelisreducedatmostfrequencies.Therebythetandemsealvibrisashapedcylinderisdmonstratedtohave asignificantnoisereduction efect.Theexperimental measurementsverify theacuracyoftheaerodynamic noise predictions.The current work would provideacertainscientificresearchandengineringapplicationvaluefortheaerodynamic noisecontroloncylinderlike bars.
