Hysteresis performance and rotation modelling of sleeve-type fully-bolted prefabricated joints

Abstract:InordertoacieverapidconstructionandreliableconectioofprecastRCframes,asleve-typefullboltedjointispro posed.Theendsof theprefabricatedcomponentsarereinforcedwithasteelleve-concretecombination.Highstrengthboltsare pre-builtinthslevearea,andtheprecastcomponentsrerapidlyinstalldusingaconnectionplate.Atotaloffourtestspeimens weredesignedfordiferentthicknessesofconnectingcoverplates.Thehorizontalhysteresis teststudyobtainedthedamagemode, load-displacementhysteresiscurve,ultimatebearingcapacity,ductilityandenergydissipatiocapacityoftis typeofjoint.There sults show that the new joint has a 43% higher ultimate load, 70% higher initial stiffness and nearly 5O% higher ductility than the cast-in-placejoint,andtheequivalentviscousdampigcoeficientisincreasedbyabouttwoimes,whichshowsbeterseisicper formance.Strananalysisrevealsthatthecoverplateatthejointsshowsa“stress increase”,buttheefectontheoverallperfor manceisnotapparent.Astheticknessoftheconnetionplateincreases,thesqueeingefectoftheseveontheconcreteinceas es.Therefore,aconectionstifessratioof1.6ismorereasonable.Finally,basedonthetestresults,atrifoldmomenttuingan gle model is established,and the calculated results agree with the test values.
