Bursting oscillation and energy capture efficiency analysis of piezoelectric energy harvester under low frequency excitation

Abstract:Environmental vibrationenergyisa kindofrenewable andcleanenergy withabundantreservesand widedistribution. Throughenergyharvestingtechnology,themechanicalenergyintheenvironmentisconvertedintoelectricalenergytopowerlow powerelectronicdevicesandwirelessensornetworks,whichisanefectivesolutiontobreakthelimitationsoftraditionalpower supplymethods.Intispape,theurstingoslltonandenergycaptureeficiencyofmechanicalonliearmultistablepiezelec triccantileverbeamdevicearestudiedunderlowfrequency excitation.Byanalyzing thepotentialenergyof thesystem,itcanbe seenthatthesystemhas multi-stablecharacteristicswiththechangeofsystem parameters.According tothefastandslowdynamic analysis method,theexteralexcitationtermisregardedasaslowvariableandcontrolparametertoadjustthedynamicbehaviorof thefastubsystem,andthetimehistorydiagram,phasediagramandtransitionphasediagramofthesystemareobtained.Themo tionstateandenergycaptureperformanceof thesystemunderlowfrequencyexcitationareanalyzedbynumericalmethod.There sultsshowthatthesystemexistsburstingoscilltionunderlowfrequencyexcitation,andthesystemhasgoodenergycapturechar acteristics whenthesystemisbistable.Inadition,the time-delayfeedbackcontrolcancontroltheclusteringphenomenonandensure the stable operation of the system.
