Abstract：Basedonrelevantreports inthe Liberation Daily，thispaper examinestheanti-witchcraftcampaignorganized bythe Shanxi-Gansu-NingxiaBorderRegionGovermmentinApril1944.Thiscampaign，highlytargeted inpractice，wasakeymeasureto mobilizetemasss toupoldthtotalsistaeainstJapaneasionandotheiligofdmocraticlitisoo andculture.Undertheleadershipf teartyanderderregiongovement，istoricalacievementswremadeyexposingefrauds of witchcraftanditsrongdoings，populariingsientficandhealthkowdgeamong temasses，devisingrelevantpicisandeasures， andemployingmetodsandapproacesthatareappealingtothemasses.Thisfullyobilizedthemasss toresistsuperstionproactively andconsciouslyItcontributedtothegreatvictoryofthenationalresistancewarspuredall-aroudprogressinheordersocial constructioddstoclsitforina’sulelopetagoatieoutrohd education， and promoting modern Chinese civilization.
