Abstract： Using the methodsofliterature，logicalanalysisandcase analysis，this paper studiestheroleconnotation and cultivation path of Chinese excelent physical education teachers in the new era. The results show that based on thefour dimensions of moral sentiment，education and teaching，characteristics of the times，and national characteristics，Chinese excelent physical education teachers in thenew era are the model of cultivating school physical education career，are preacher for physical education with excelent teaching skills，are navigatorof physical education teacher seeking truth and innovation，and also are inheritor carrying forward Chinese sports spirit.Its cultivation path ofChinese excellnt physical education teacher inthe new eracan be summarized as hold onto value beliefs and strengthen exemplary guidance at the macro level; at the mesoscopic level， improving the cultivationmodel，andcreatingafull-chaincultivationparadigm frompre-service topost-service;atthe microlevel， strengthening digital and inteligent empowerment and promoting teacher cultivation through digital teaching; and enhancing comprehensive guarantee，improving the evaluation mechanism，and then building a closed lop with "subject - process - feedback".
