Abstract:The Third Plenary Sessionofthe2OthCentral Commiteeofthe Communist PartyofChina emphasized thateducation,scienceand technology,and talent functionasa basicandstrategicunderpinning forChinese modernization,and educational digitization serves as a crucial breakthrough for China to pioneer new avenues in educationaldevelopmentand forgenewcompetitive edges.Currntly,thedevelopmentofdigitalphysicaleducation textbooks in China’s higher education institutions remains at a nascent exploratory stage.Based on the value implications of constructing digital physical education textbooks,and using the methods of literature review and logicalanalysis,this study analyzes theadvantageous characteristics of digital physical education textbooks,such as thereal-timeupdatingof teachingresources,thre-dimensionalinteractivedesign,multi-partycollborative compilation,and interactive sharing during usage,and however, there are four dificulties including lack of industry standards,significant technical development dificulties,insufficienttalentreservesanddeficiencies inqualityand copyright supervision in teaching practice. Regarding implementation pathways,it is recommended to continuously enhance thelevelofinformatization,digitization,andintelligencethroughseveralaspectssuchas thetransformation ofteaching philosophies,the establishment of standards and specifications,theoptimizationof textbook content and functionality,thecultivationof talent teams,and theimprovementof supervisionmechanisms,soasto develop high-quality digital physical education textbooks thatcould embodythe distinctive features of the times and also reflect the Chinese characteristics.
