Abstract：The "Jiangsu FootballCityLeague" phenomenon has attracted widespread attention due to its explosive popularity.To explore the sucessful password behind local sports events，this studyuses the "Jiangsu Football City League"as acase study，conducting a comprehensive analysis to reveal its logic for breaking through regional boundariesand also offering constructive insights for the development of local sports events in China.The breakthrough of the "Jiangsu Football City League" is the result of multiple factors working together： a deep integration withregional culture，fostering astrong local senseof identity;the establishment of aparticipatory governance model，realizing multiple stakeholders tocollaborate and govern; retum to the essence of mass sports and motivate people's initiative; and effectively leveraging the industry integration of culture，tourism，and business to unleash diverse value.The insights drawn from this case suggest that inorder forlocalsports events to achieve sustainable developmentand widespread influence，itiscrucial to activate asenseof identityrooted inlocal culture to strengthen intrinsic motivation， build a new govermance ecosystem of "co-building，co-governance， and co-sharing"，enhancing the synergies between culture，sports，tourism，andbusiness tocreate a multipliereffect，and embracing digital technologies for creating participatory communication.And itscore is that adhering to the "people-centered" development concept， to ensure that sports events truly return to the people's central role.
