Abstract:【Objective】The efects bagging and fruit stem treatment(removal or retention)on the quality changes apples during storage were investigated,providingatheoreticalbasisforoptimizing postharveststorageand preservationtechniques.【Methods】Using‘Fuji’aples as test material,four treatments were established:bagged with stems removed, bagged with stems retainednon-bagged with stemsremoved,and non-bagged withstems retained.Qualityparameters including single fruit weight,firmness,and soluble solids content were measured during storage.【Results】Compared with nonbagged fruits,bagged fruits exhibitedlower singlefruit weightand fruit diameter.During storage,baggedfruitsshowedafasterdecline inqualitythannon-baggedfruits.However,nonbaggedfruits hadhigherSSCandfirmnessinitiallybutteseat tributes declined more rapidlyduring storage,especially in stem-removed treatments.【Conclusion】Theresults demonstrate thatbaggingcombinedwithstemretention efectivelymaintains aple storagequality,providing atheoreticalbasisforoptimizing postharvest handling technologies.
