Abstract: 【Objective】 The effects of bagging treatment on the accumulationof trace elements (K,Na,Ca,Mg)and car bohydrates(fructose, glucose, sucrose, sorbitol) were investigatedin AksuRedFuji appes during diferent harvest stages, aiming to establishoptimal harvest windows for baggedand non-bagged fruits.【Methods】Apples were sampled periodically from pre-physiological maturitytoover-ripening stages.Mineral elements and carbohydratecontents werequantifiedusing standardized analytical methods. 【Results】Non-bagged fruits exhibited significantly higher levels of K ( 25.6% higher on October 30),Na (72.1% higher on October 22),and Ca ( 17.2% higher on October 3O) compared to bagged fruits. In contrast, Mg content was 29.7% higher in bagged fruits on October 22. Carbohydrate analysis revealed that fructose, glucose, and sucrosefollowedatypicalacumulationpattrn(nitial icreasefollowedbystabilization/decline),whilesorbitolcontentproges sively decreased. Non-bagged fruits contained 23.7% (October 26), 50⋅2% (November 7),and 74.5% (November 3) more fructose, glucose, and sucrose, respectively, thanbagged fruits 【Conclusion】Bagging suppressed the accumulationof K,Na, Ca,and major sugars but enhanced Mg retention and delayed sorbitol metabolism. For non-bagged fruits, the optimal harvest period was late October toearly November, coinciding with peak mineral and sugar accumulation for superiorquality and stor ability.Bagged fruitsreachedoptimalmaturityarlier(mid-to-lateOctober),whensugar-mineralbalanceandelevatedsorbitol levelsfavored qualitypreservation. These findings provideactionable guidelines forharvesttiming decisions tomaximize the commercial value of Aksu Red Fuji apples.
