Abstract：Appleis the main fruit tree species in southern Henan with asignificant market competitive advantage.However，due to factors suchas tree age aging，climate change and laggingcultivation and management techniques，apple pests and diseases occurfrequentlyinthisarea，resultinginasignificantdeclineinfruitquality.Through investigation，itwas found that the main diseasesof apple tres in Wugang City were appe tree rot，ring rot and early defoliation，and the main insect pests were yellow thorn moth，apple smalleaf curlmoth and golden stripe moth.The main diseases and insect pests and control techniques inthe growthperiodofappleinWugang Citywereelaborated indetail，inorder toprovidereferenceand inspiration for the high quality and high yield of apple.
