Introduction Performance of 15 Fresh Jujube Cultivars in Jinzhong Region

Abstract：【Objective】To promote the diversified developmentof the jujube industry，enrich the fresh jujube germplasm resources in thenationalgermplasmrepository，andselectnewandsuperiorfresh jujube germplasmwith stablecomprehensive traitsandexcelentqualitythataresuitableforpromotionandcultivationinthisregion，soastoenrichthefreshjujubecultivar structure in Shanxi Provinceand providea scientificbasis foritsdevelopmentandutilization.【Methods】Fifteenprimaryfresh jujubecultivars were selected asresearchmaterialsinJinzhong regionofShanxi.Phenologicalcharacteristics，tre growthperformance，andfruitquality indicators foreachcultivar wereobservedandstatisticallyanalyzed.【Results】Research findings indicate that cultivars such as Jing 6O， Zaohongmi，and Lengbaiyu exhibit favorablecharacteristics，including uniformly sized fruits，smooth surfaces，thinskins，crispandjuicyflesh，anda tastethatis eitherswet orsweetandsour.Theyalso havea lowcrackingrateandrelativelyhighyields.Uniquevarieties includethehigh-acidcultivarYuluandtheflat-roundfruitcultivar Jingcang1.ForcultivarslikeLiuyuexian，which grow wellandhave good qualitybutsufferfrom severecracking isues，adoptingfacilitycultivationcanmitigatetheriskofcrackingandprolongtheshelflifeoffreshjujubes.Thisapproachisbeneficial for the substantial developmentof thefreshjujubefruitindustry.【Conclusion】Due toimproper introductionof varities being highlylikelytocauseadeclinein jujubequality，to strengthenthedevelopmentof thefreshedible jujubeindustry inShanxi Province，it is essential torationally allocateand organically combine cultivars with different maturation periods.
