Abstract:【Objective】 The effects of CO2 fertilization on the growth characteristics of strawberry in solar greenhouses were investigated to provide references for CO2 fertilization application in greenhouse strawberry production. 【Methods】 Using ‘Benihoppe’ strawberry as test material, CO2 was supplied through gas cylinders starting from the early fruit-setting stage. Theapplicationperiodisfrom8:Oto11:inthemorning.O.5hours beforeventilatingthegreenhouse,thegascylideris turnedoff.Thedurationof the aplicationdepends onthe weatherconditions.Throughout the growth period,measurements were conducted to evaluate the effects of CO2 enrichment on botanical characteristics,biological properties,yield,and fruit quality. 【Results】Plants treated with CO2 enrichment showed enhanced growth vigor,earlier fruit ripening,increased fruit size,significantly improved yield and quality,as well as strengthened disease resistance. 【Conclusion】 CO2 fertilization in solar grenhouses wasfound to promote plant growth,advancefruit maturity,and improve both yield andquality,suggesting its potential for widespread application in greenhouse strawberry production.
