Research on Alum Cuttings and Seedling Raising Technology

AbstractTo investigate the impact ofcuting types on the rooting efficacy of Symplocos caudata and promote thecultivationof robust seedlings for large-scale plantation,this study focused on scientifically conserving,developing,and utilizing Symplocos resources.Wild Symplocos caudata branches were used as experimental materials toanalyze the effectsoflignification degree,leaf retention,cutting diameter/length, andsubstrateon rooting traits.Theresults revealed that semi-lignified cuttings outperformed fully lignified ones in root development. Cuttings retaining 1 leaf achieved superior rooting compared to those with 2 leaves orhalf a leaf.Optimal rooting was observed in cuttings with diameters of 0.36⋅0.40cm and lengths of .Vermiculite as a substrate significantly enhanced rooting rate,root quantity,and root length across all cutting parameters compared to yellow core soil. Therefore,the study recommends using semi-lignified cuttings with 0.36-0.40cm diameterand 4.6-5.0cm length,retaining1leaf per cutting,and employing vermiculite as the substrate for eficient propagation of Symplocos caudata seedlings.

山矾(Symplocoscaudata),别名尾叶山矾[1-2],属常绿树种,是较好的抗污染防护树种和园林绿化观赏树种[3-4],具有清热解毒、理气止痛、止血生肌、化痰止咳等重要的药用价值[5],其树干、枝叶还是当地农民制作黄米稞主要的辅料之一,生产需求量较大,现有自然分布的野生资源已不能满足市场的需求。(剩余6526字)
