Research on microbial-based soil improvement technology for Apostichopus japonicus ponds

Abstract:To address the issue of deteriorating sediment in Apostichopus japonicus ponds ,an integrated technology was developed in Laoting,Hebei. Clay-silt ponds were selected,and application protocols were optimized through sediment improvement using microbial agents. The results indicated that EM bacteria yielded the best improvement effect. Under conditions of and dissolved oxygen ⩾5 (20 mg/L , key sediment indicators,including acid-volatile sulfide content,were reduced to acceptable levels,and the survival rate of Apostichopus japonicus increased by 25% . Furthermore,this technology demonstrated significant effectiveness in enhancing aquaculture productivity.
