A Regularization Method for Backward Heat Equation on a Rectangular Domain

Abstract：Aregularization method is proposed forthenon-homogeneous backwardheat equation withaspace-dependentsourceon atwo-dimensionalrectangulardomain.Thismethodisanextensionofaknownregularizationapproach.Firstly，theregularization problemisconstructedusingtheFourierexpansionofthesourceandterminalvaue，resultinginaregularizedsolution.Secondly， undersomepriorassumptios，otonlypriorstrategiesandposteriorstrategiesforselectingtheregularizationparameterareprovided， butheconvergenceofthemethodisdemonstrated.Finally，theefectivenessandfeasibilityofthismethodarevalidatedthrough numerical examples.
