Abstract： In the shipbuilding industry，steel plate surplus management has always been a key link in improving production efficiency and reducing costs.To addressthe challenges of low effciency and high costs in steel plate surplus management，this study investigates the application of AM design software for intellgent surplus management. A method integrating a surplus management module seamlessy into AM design software was implemented.Practical validations demonstrated significant improvements insurplus processng efciency，material utilizationrates，anddesign cost optimization.Theseresults indicate thatthe proposed integrated solution effectively enhances resource alocation efficiency in shipbuilding enterprises，ofering valuable insights for intelligent transformation in heavy manufacturing industries.
