Research on Design Optimization and Installation Quality Control of Dual-Shaft Marine Propulsion System

Abstract: This study addresses the high-precisionand complex installation challenges of ship shafting systems. Taking a dual-ngine,dual-shaft vessl as an engineering case, it systematically investigates design optimization and quality control protocols for the shafting.By analyzing typical installtion issues,design improvements were implemented on key components including the stern tube structure,bearing assemblies,and sealing configurations. A complete set of instalation procedures and quality control documents was compiled, with critical control points established.Applicationresults demonstrate the scheme effectively ensures instalationqualitywithkeymetrics such as bearing coaxiality exceeding standard requirements.This research provides a validated solution for shafting engineering in similar vessels,ofering significantreference value for enhancing shipbuildingquality and efficiency.
