Abstract：Private application-oriented undergraduate universities playacrucialrole in China's highereducation system，as they areresponsible for cultivating andsupplyingapplication-oriented innovative talents to society. However，against the backdrop of thecurrent fierce market competition，graduates from these universities face a severe employment situation.Byanalyzing theemployment status of students in private applicationoriented undergraduate universities，this study identifies thepracticalchallenges theyencounter，including insufficientsocialrecognition，amismatch betweenpracticalabilitiesandmarketdemands，and inadequatecareer guidance and support.Taking the implementation of ice and snow sports courses in private application-oriented undergraduateuniversitiesandthe significanceof integrating ideologicalandpolitical elements into thesecourses

as the logical starting point， the study summarizes theroleofideological and political education in ice and snow sports courses in enhancing students' employability.Furthermore，itproposespathways for developing ideological and political education in ice and snow sports courses，such as constructing an integrated curriculumsystem of“skills + ideological and political education + career”，buildingan industryeducation integration platform for employment

training，andoptimizing thecampus comprehensive environment oriented towards employability improvement.By enhancing students’employment competitiveness，thisresearchaims to facilitatetheir high-qualityemployment andsustainabledevelopment.Undertheguidanceofthegoalofbuildingapowerfuleducationcountry，itstrives to establish a win-win pattern between application-oriented education and the ice and snow industry.
