A Comparative Study on Lower Limb Kinematic Characteristics of Curling Delivery Actionson IceandLand

CHUXiangyu1,ZHUMing²,BIGengchao1,HUALijun (1.Graduate School,HarbinSportUnversity,Harbin5oo08,China;2.HeilongjiangResearch Instituteofports Science,Harbin5090,China;3.SchoolofPhysicalEducation,HarbinSport UniversityHarbin50008,China) Abstract:Currently,land-basedcurlingdeliverytraining,asanof-icealternative tocurlingonice,hasbecomean important means for technical training and sport popularization.However,research on land-based curling training methodsathomeandabroadremains relatively scarce.Using experimental testingand mathematical statistics,this studytestedthe iceandlanddeliveryactionsof3master-levelcurlers toexplore theextenttowhichland-based simulateddeliverycanreplicate the lower limb joint movementpattrnsofice-baseddelivery.Theresults showed thatland-baseddelivery trainingcanbasically simulatethe changes in lower limb joint angles during thegliding phase of ice-baseddelivery.However,land-baseddelivery has limitations in termsofforce generation pattrns, muscle activation,andbalance strategies,which mayaffectthe transferof training effects toactual ice-based delivery.For high-level curlers,land-baseddeliverycannot becompletely equated with ice-specific training.Itis

suggested to build alow-friction simulated delivery platformtohelpathletesreplicatetheglidingsensation of ice-baseddelivery;developarapid feedback system for sports biomechanics to improve training more targeted;future studies should expand the sample size and adopt multi-dimensional testing methods to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the biomechanical differences between ice and land-based curlingdeliveries.
