International Competitive Situation of Short Track Speed Skating and Preparatory StrategiesoftheChineseTeam

—Based on the Analysis of theResults of the 2025 Short Track Speed SkatingWorld Championships SHANBaohai，YANLi，ZHANGongyue，WANGXu （Sports Science Research Institute，Harbin Sport University，Harbin 15ooo8，China）

Abstract：The Short Track Speed Skating World Championships is oneof the most influential international eventsinthis sport.Ananalysisof the performance of the world's leading short track speed skating nations in this championship can provide important references for China’s preparations for the Olympic Winter Games. Using methods such as literature review，statistics，and case analysis，this study examines the national teams and theirkeyathleteswhoperformed prominentlyinthe2025ShortTrack Speed Skating World Championships.By analyzing themedaldistribution，eventresults，andtechnicalcharacteristics，itsortsoutthecurentinternational competitive pattern and development trendsof the sport.The findings indicate that traditional powerhouses remainstrong，emerging forces are ontherise，and thecompetitive landscape is becoming more diversified.The Chinese team hadrelatively many mistakes and fouls in thecompetition，anditsathletes need to further improve

their handling of technical details and mental stability. Somekeyplayersof the Chinese teamwere affected in theircompetitive state due to injuries and adjustments to their trainingcycles，and overall，there is still a gap between the Chinese team and the world's top short track speed skatingnations.Itis suggested that scientific evaluations ofathletes'conditions should

beconductedto formulatepersonalized trainingplans;eforts should be made to consolidate theadvantages in relay events，strengthenathletes’psychological constructionand pressure resistance training;learn from Canada’s scientificandtechnological trainingmodels，establishalargedatabaseforcompetitionsand training，andorganize simulated competitions before the startofthe season to enhance athletes'practical combat capabilities.
