Problems in rice production and strategies for yield increase in Wangjiang County

AbstractBased on the rice production practices in Wangjiang County,Anhui Province,the existing problems in local rice production and proposes strategies foryield improvement were summarizedandanalyzed.The rice production inthe research area currently faces problems such as the need to improve economic benefits,insuffcient stability in the promotionareaof widelyapplicable and highlyresistant varieties,diferences incultivation techniques and high yield requirements,andthe need to improvethelevelof mechanization throughout theentire process.Basedonthis,strategies for increasing yield perunit area were proposed,including improving the industrial support system,enhancing the economic benefits of grain cultivation through precisedistributionof planting subsidies,optimizing agricultural insuranceandcreditservices,etc;scientificallyselectingvarieties byrecommending suitablehighqualitycultivars based ongrain qualityandresistance standards,considering regional characteristics; strengthening field management through timely sowing and substrate-based seedling raising tocultivate strong seedlings,implementing scientific weed control (pre-emergence,seedling-stage soil sealing,and stem-and-leaf treatment)for diffrent models such as directseeding, optimizingfertilizationfollowingtheprincipleof“emphasizingbasefertilizer,arlytilleringfertilizer,andskilfulpanicle fertilizer”,adoptingalternatingdry-wetirigationmethodssuchas“shallow waterirrigationandfielddrying whentiler number issuffcient”,andadhere tothe principleof“prevention-first,integratedcontrol”topreventandcontrolrice diseaseand pest management; enhancing mechanization levels bydeveloping diverse agricultural machinery adapted to local agronomic practices,promoting high-precision seeders and plant protection drones,and optimizing crop succession arrangements toimprove productioneficiency.This studyprovidesareferenceforincreasingriceyieldinrelatedregions.
