The Connotation and Framework Development of Language Service Export

Abstract： Language service export refers to the trade behavior of providing language products and services for overseas users to obtain economic benefits.The paper first discusses the connotation of the concept of language service export and the development status of the language service export industry at home and abroad. Then the article discusses the path of language service export from five aspects， namely， language information export， language product export， language technology export，language talent export and language standard export， aiming to build a language service export system to integrate the advantages of language resources. Finally，it is suggested that the institutional mechanisms for language service exports should be improved from four aspects，i.e. export policy support，export base construction， professionals’training，and international cooperation. It also recommends expanding the scope of products and the scale of language service exports，and thereby enhancing the power of Chinese language service. This study provides implications for the development of language service discipline and export base as well as language service teaching and research.
