【Abstract】ObjectiveTo explore the parallel mediating role of each factor of psychological resilience in theefects of different personality traitson stateanxiety.MethodsThrough whole-clusterrandom sampling，a questionnaire survey was conducted among 657college students.The questionnaire survey included the Neuroticism Extraversion Openness Five-Factor Inventory （NEO-FFI），the Chinese Adolescent Psychological Resilience Scale （CAPRS），and the State Anxiety Inventory（SAI）.A paralel mediation model was constructed with each factor of psychological resilienceas a mediating variable.ResultsNeuroticism，extraversion，and conscientiousness significantly affected state anxiety （P<0.05） byinfluencing the five factors of psychological resilience （goal focus， emotional control，positive thinking，family support，and help-seeking）.Agreeableness influenced stateanxiety through the other four factors of psychological resilience inaddition to goal focus （P<0.05） .Openness influenced stateanxiety through the other fourfactors of psychological resilience besides familysupport（ P <0.05）.In the parallel mediation models constructed with each ofthe five personality traitsas the independent variable（except forthe openness），themodelwith emotionalcontrolasthemediatingvariableshowedsignificantly stronger effctscompared tothe other factors.ConclusionThefactors of psychological resilience playamediating role in the ffcts of differentpersonalitytraitsonstateanxiety.Inadditionto the model withopenness asapredicting variable，emotional control emerges as a more significant factor in the efects of personality traits on state anxiety levels.
