Introduction of YE Hai's Clinical Experience in Treating Acute Discogenic Low Back Pain

Abstract：This article introduces Profesor YE Hai's clinical experience in treating acute discogenic low back pain.Profesor YE posits that the pathogenesis of discogenic lowback pain involves deficiency inorigin and excessin superficiality.The deficiency inorigin liesin kidneydeficiency，while theexcesssuperficialityarises from wind pathogens invading the colaterals，complicated with cold-damp impediment obstruction.He proposes the theory that "acute impediment cannot occur without wind."In clinical practice，while focusing on supplementing the kidney，he skilfully employswind herbs to expel windand allviate pain，emphasizes regulatingqiandblood movement to reinforcehealthyqiand eliminate pathogens，and prioritizesprotecting thespleenand stomach topreserve the foundation of acquired constitution.He developed Jingjie Zhitong Decoction for treating discogenic low back pain.
