Abstract：Sensorineural deafnessis characterized byan underlying deficiency and manifesting excess，where the underlying deficiencyrefers tothedepletionofqiand blood，whichservesas theinternalbasisfortheonsetof the disease.The manifesting excess involves phlegm-damp and blood stasisaspathological products thatobstruct the circulationofqiand blood inthevessels.Additionally，poo emotional statesdue toimbalanceof dailylifeand work can cause liverdepresion and qi stagnation，further exacerbating the condition.The interplay between deafness and liverqi stagnation can worsen the condition of deafness.Throughout the course of the disease，deficiency，phlegm，blood stasis，and depression are consistentlypresent.In treatment，it is essential to focus onreplenishing thedeficiency as thefoundation，combining acupuncture with herbal medicine.The depletionof qi and blood is attributed tospleenand kidney deficiency.Herbal treatment shouldaim to tonify the spleenandkidneyto replenish qiand blood，resolve phlegm，remove blood stasis，and soothe the liver to relieve depression.Acupuncture should be used to regulate qi and blood，remove blood stasis，and harmonize emotions，thereby promoting the circulation ofqi and blood withinthe ear. In clinical practice，the use of pure Chinese medicine methods has proven to be highly effective.
