Clinical Application of CAl Bai's Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment Combined with Constitutional Regulation in Prevention and Management of Chronic Diarrhea

Abstract：Professor CAI Bai proposes that the prevention and treatment of chronic diarhea should follow a trinity diagnostic and treatment approach of“constitution-syndrome-therapy，”emphasizing the integration of syndrome diffrentiationand treatment withconstitutionalregulation，which aims toenhance therapeutic eficacyandcorrect constitutional imbalances.Commonly-seen traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of chronic diarrhea include spleenstomach deficiency，insuficiencyof kidney yang，liverqi attacking the spleen，phlegm-damp disturbing the spleen， andcold and heat incomplexity.These respectively correspond toqi deficiency constitution，yang deficiency constitution，qi stagnation constitution，phlegm-damp constitution，and upper heat-lower cold constitution.For patients with diferent syndromes，Professor CAI advocates precise treatment principlessuchas strengthening the spleen and boosting qi，warming yang and inducing astringency，suppressingthe liver and supporting the spleen，fortifying the spleenand dissolving phlegm，and simultaneouslytreatingcold-heat.For patients with distinct constitutions，he recommends dietary adjustments，exercise guidance，acupoint health preservation，and emotionalcounseling fordaily conditioning and prevention of recurrence after recovery.

慢性腹泻的常见病因有肠息肉、溃疡性结肠炎、功能性肠病等，治疗上可根据具体病因服用止泻、调节肠道菌群、解痉止痛等药物治疗，少数患者需短时间内服用抗菌药物、抗抑郁及抗焦虑药物等，但是易复发。（剩余7771字）
