Abstract：The Expert Consensus on Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis and Treatment of Functional Bloating in2023was revisedunder the leadershipof the the Branch ofGastrointestinal Diseases，China Associationof Chinese Medicine.This updated consensusbuildsupon the Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment ofCommon Digestive System Diseases：Functional Bloating （PrimaryCare Version）published in2O18.Itincorporates thecurrentsituation in Chinaandthe latest research advancements to adjust the traditional Chinese medicine pathogenesis and syndromes of functional bloating（FB）.Theconsensus includes modern experts'academic experiences and evidence-based research， recommends new treatment methods，optimizes the eficacy evaluation index system，and systematically identifies the treatment challenges and analyses the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine for FB.
