Abstract：Juanbi Decoction is firstly seen in Yang Shi Jia Cang Fang （Secret Formulas of the Yang Family）by YANG Tan in Song Dynasty，which is later widely appliedasits dose andcomponents develop.Juanbi Decoction from the book entitled Yang Shi Jia Cang Fang（SecretFormulas of theYang Family）is mainlyused to treat generalized vexing pain，heavy pain of neck-arm region and difcult movement causedby wind impedimentand mutual contention of pathogenic wind and dampness，as wellas cold impediment of hands and fet，heavy sensation of waist and legs， weakness of sinews and vessels and other symptoms. CHENG's Juanbi Decoction of Yi Xue Xin Wu （Medical Epiphany） is mainly for wind-cold-dampness impediment.Basedon YANG's Juanbi Decoction，Juanbi Decoction is continuously modifiedbyphysicians of allages incombination withclinical practice toextend itsscope ofapplication.Later physicians notonlytakeJuanbi Decoctionasthe basic formula tobemodified inclinical treatmentof impediment syndrome，but also extended its scope of application to various diseases such asflesh impediment，qi impediment and arm impediment.Modern clinical studies have also shown that Juanbi Decoction has a significant curative ffct on rheumatoid arthritis，ankylosing spondylitis，osteoarthritis and other diseases.
