Abstract：Chromium insteel canenhance the hardenability，strength，hardnessandcomprehensive mechanicalproperties of steel.Ferrochrome is themainsourceofchromium.Therefore，accuratelydetecting thechromiumcontentinferrochrome is the basis for evaluating the qualityof ferrochrome.The chromium content in ferrochrome is generally between 55% and （2 80% .The ammonium persulfate oxidation titration method has the advantages of high accuracyand good precision in the determinationofchromium inferrochrome.Throughsummarizingthedetectionexperience，this experimentoptimizedthe key linksin theammoniumpersulfateoxidation itration method，including thealkali fusionflux，alkali fusionprocess，acidity control，and titration steps，making this experimental method more suitable forlaboratories inthe stel industry.
