Logic,Constraints and Paths of Long-Term Sustained Growth of Sports Event Consumption in China

Abstract:Inthe new development stage,a consumption-driven domestic demand system is rapidly taking shape.Actively cultivating sports events as a newconsumption growth area is essntial for advancing the high-quality development of the sports industryand promoting stableconsumption growth.Usingthe methodsof literature review and logicalanalysis,this paper clarifies the connotationof sports eventconsumption basedon thetheoretical foundationsof consumption economics andthe perspective of consumption chain.It analyzes the formation of sports event consumption preferences through the lens of consumption capital accumulation and examines the logic behind sustained long-term growth insports event consumption.The studyalso identifiesconstraintssuch as insufficient consumercapacity,structuralimbalanceinthesuply ofconsumer object,andweak support from the consumption environment.Accordingly,to foster long-term sustained growth of sportsevent consumption,itisnecessary tocultivate consumers and strengthen residents’capacityfor sports event consumption;to optimize event supplyand improve the demand compatibiltyof thesupplysystem;and to improve the consumption environment and unleash residents’ demand for sports event consumption.
