Research on a New Type of Railway Transit Safety Turnout System

Abstract: As a novel transportation mode,micro-rail transit systems serve as a beneficial complement and enhancement to existing public transportation. This paper analyzes the switching principles of micro-rail transit systems at turnouts and designs a safety turnout system for the risks of misrouting and vehicle derailment at turnouts. At the turnout of the guideway beam,movable support plates and fixed support plates are installed on the internal upper plane of the beam.The position of the movable support plates determines the branching path of the micro-rail vehicle after passng through the turnout,with the movable plates being controlled by the dispatching system. The micro-rail vehicle's running gear is equipped with two guide pulleys on its upper part,while additional guide pulleys are installed on both sides of its lower-midde section. Through the coordinated interaction between the guideway beam support plates,the top guide pulleys,and the side guide puleys,the micro-rail vehicle achieves safe and stable passage through the guideway beam turnout. This paper presents two design schemes:single movable support plate and dual movable support plate configurations.Both solutions effectively prevent micro-rail vehicles from misrouting and derailing,while simultaneously reducing vibration and resistance of vehicles passing through turnouts.
