Abstract:With the rapid advancement of technology,drone technology has demonstrated its unique application value across multiple domains. In the field of meto maintenance,theapplication of drones is gradually emerging as a transformative trend. Drones can access confined or hard-to-reach spaces for inspection,providing high-definition videos and photos to help operatorsaccurately identify issues.Combined withartificial intellgence algorithms,drones have significantly improved the efficiencyand safety of subway maintenance operations. This paper systematically categorizes drone technologies,reviews their developmental status and application progress in target detection and sensor integration,and constructs a comprehensive design framework for drone inspection platforms tailored to metro vehicle maintenance characteristics.The study proposes a multi-technology integrated composite maintenance strategy that leverages drones’ advantages inconfined space operations whilecompensating for their limitations in endurance and coverage range.However,the application of drones in metro inspection and maintenance still faces a series of challenges,including technical limitations and management obstacles.Tofullyleverage the potentialof drones in metro maintenance systems,itis imperative to conduct in-depth analysis of these issues and explore corresponding solutions.This will provide new perspectives and approaches for metro vehicle maintenance, driving the industry toward intelligentand automated development.
