Study on DC Bus Voltage Steady-state Output Control Strategy for AC-DC-AC Converter Based on DBVC

Abstract:With the rapid development of rail transit systems,vehicle requirements for system stability, operational eficiency,and reliability have significantly increased.As the core component of traction systems, the stabilityand reliabilityof onboard AC-DC-ACconvertersareof vital importance. Sincethe input side of the AC-DC-AC converter has a wide-bandwidth input characteristic,and the output-side power converter has a constant-power negative impedance characteristic,the interaction between the two may cause the DC bus voltage of theconverter tooscillte and fluctuate,thereby afecting the stableoperation of theentireconverter system.To this end,this paper proposes an AC-DC-AC converter topology based on a DC bus voltage conditioner(DBVC).By analyzing theclosed-loop input admittance of the load converter and the output impedance of the source converter,this study employs smal-signal modeling and Bode plot analysis(a graphical method for the frequency response of linear systems)and combines it with an active virtual resistorbased control strategy.This approach effectively mitigates DC bus voltage oscilations and fluctuations under variable load conditions, significantly enhancing the voltage stability of onboard AC-DC-AC converters, thereby ensuring reliable and sustained stable operation of the converter system.
