Abstract： ‘Huazhen 1’ is a new peach rootstock cultivar developed by the Qingdao Academy of Agricultural Sciences， selected from natural seedling populations of Prunus cerasifera. This rootstock exhibits tolerance to waterlogging and drought， good graft compatibility， and a significant dwarfing effect， showing considerable application potential. Hardwood cutting， characterized by low cost and rapid propagation， is an effective method for its mass production. The complete technical process for its propagation via hardwood cuttings is described， covering the establishment of a sprout orchard， cutting collection and treatment， insertion and subsequent maintenance， grafting， and finally seedling lifting and transportation. This aims to provide reliable technical support for the promotion of this superior rootstock.
