Effects of Different Fruit Bags on Fruit Quality of ‘Ruixue’ Apple

Abstract:【Objective】This study aimed to explore the effects of four types of fruit bags (green single-layer, white outer+green inner double-layer, dark blue outer+white inner double-layer, light blue outer+white inner double-layer) on the fruit quality of ‘Ruixue’ apple, so as to provide a basis for the selection and application of special fruit bags for ‘Ruixue’ apple in the Longdong area.【Methods】Four-year-old top-grafted ‘Ruixue’ apple trees were used as test materials. Four types of fruit bags were applied 74 days after full bloom, with unbagged fruits as the control. All fruits were harvested uniformly 193 days after full bloom. A colorimeter was used to determine the color values, and the fruit quality indicators of different treatments were measured to analyze the effects of different fruit bags on fruit quality.【Results】All four types of fruit bags could improve the appearance quality of ‘Ruixue’ apple fruits, among which the light blue outer+white inner double-layer fruit bag had the best comprehensive effect on improving fruit quality.【Conclusion】In the cultivation and production of ‘Ruixue’ apple in the Longdong area, it is recommended to select the light blue outer+white inner double-layer fruit bag.
